What drives the cost of a website
Every website I build includes custom design on WordPress, a mobile-ready layout, fast load times and the SEO structure that lets it rank. From there, four things move the price.
Your starting point
A rebuild of an existing site usually costs less than starting from nothing, because there is already a brand, content and a structure to work from.
Your content
If your words, logo and photos are ready to go, the price stays close to the base. If you need help writing pages or producing photos, that time gets added in.
Page count
A 5-page site and a 20-page site are different projects. More pages means more design, writing and SEO work.
Features
Online booking, job listings, memberships, a store, or a connection to your CRM or ERP each add build time. A store is the biggest jump.
The monthly plan
Every site I build comes with a monthly maintenance plan for hosting, updates, backups, security monitoring and support. A website nobody maintains breaks, gets hacked and slips in search, so the plan is part of every build.
The range you see is a starting point. After we talk, you get one fixed quote for the build and a clear monthly figure, with no surprises partway through.
Questions about the estimate
No. It’s a ballpark based on what projects like yours usually cost. Your fixed quote comes after a short conversation about your business and goals.
No. The range shows up as soon as you answer the four questions. The contact form after it is there if you want to talk.
Two projects with the same answers can still differ in how much content help they need or how involved a feature is. The range covers that until we talk.
Yes. I’m based in Holmen near La Crosse and work with businesses across Wisconsin and beyond.
