North Bend Canoe Rental
A website redesign that matches the quality of the experience
North Bend Canoe Rental offers one of Wisconsin’s most scenic river paddles. The goal was simple: build a site that makes it effortless for a visitor to understand the offering, trust the business, and click the call button.

The Problem
The Challenge
The site needed to do one thing: convert visitors into phone calls. That sounds simple, but it requires getting several things right simultaneously.
Visitors arriving from a Google search or a shared link often know very little about the business. They need to quickly understand what’s on offer, what it costs, when the season runs, how reservations work, and where to go — all before they’ll feel confident enough to pick up the phone. Any friction in that process means a lost customer.
The Solution
The redesign was built around one principle: a visitor should be able to understand the offering, trust the business, and decide to call within 90 seconds of landing on the page. Every design and content decision was filtered through that lens.
The site architecture was restructured from the ground up. Pricing was surfaced immediately, no hunting required. Trip options were broken into three distinct cards with specific details that answer the most common pre-booking questions. A “Quick Info Bar” below the hero answers the four questions every first-time visitor has: when is the season, what time do shuttles leave, how much does it cost, and how do I reserve?
Since most users will be using a mobile device when searching for canoe rentals, I created a fixed sticky tap-to-call button that follows the user as they scroll, always keeping the button within reach.
